Acting Classes
There are various acting classes being offered today including ones for film, ones for television, commercials and the theater, but probably not the one your mother referred to when sending you to your room until you learned how to act.
One of the many benefits of taking acting classes is in learning how to literally put you in someone else’s shoes while performing. To completely become immersed in another personality for the performance, while remaining the same person on the inside. Of course projection, diction and facial expression can all be taught in acting classes, but maintaining your individuality while acting the part of another is extremely important.
While the art of acting may date back to 5000 B.C., William Shakespeare’s plays brought it to the fore of people’s thoughts. Acting in a play requires more of a dedication to perfection as perhaps film as a play is performed in front of a live audience. While some people may be excellent actors, they may lack the ability to make up lines as they go if they forget the original dialog.
