If you are an adult who is planning to return to school, it can be scary.  Just like an eighteen-year-old entering college, you too may have many questions and fears that need to be addressed.  There are adult education resources available both in person and online.

Adult education resources can be very helpful, especially if you are not sure what career path you wish to take.  Just because you are an adult does not mean you know what you want to do with your life.  Colleges have advisors who can help you.  They will sit down with you and discuss what you like and what you are good at to help you figure out the correct career path for you.  Online, you can find many adult education resources that lead you through career counseling.  You can even download goals and occupational worksheets to fill out.  These worksheets will help you figure out what your goals and dreams are as far as a career.

You can also find adult education resources about transitioning to being a college student.  Many adults may fear they have been out of school for too long and that fear keeps them from completing their education.  But by knowing what to expect from college and seeing what you will have to do to move from being a working adult to a college student will help ease those fears.

There are adult education resources for those with disabilities.  If you have learning or physical disabilities, you can still continue your education.  Speak with a college counselor or advisor about how these disabilities can be overcome so you can get your college degree.

Another area of adult education resources to consider is your workplace.  Many employers will offer financial assistance to employees especially if they are taking classes that will better them in their current position.
