Career Education
Smart people know that a good education will serve you well in life. And did you know that education could fall within a number of parameters? Not all education starts at college. For those students in high school who are uncertain what or if they even want to study in college, they have a number of career education possibilities to consider as well. Part of the job for a high school counselor is helping those students seek out alternate opportunities through career education. Sometimes, it is also know as a trade or vocational education.
If you are uncertain if college is right for you, consider a career education. There are a number of things to ponder when determining if this is the right path for you. First, think about the different subjects and job areas that you might be interested in. Does anything spark your imagination? Analyze your skills. Ask your high school counselor to administer a career aptitude test which will involve a whole bunch of questions in a number of areas. These tests are great tools to helping you narrow down what your possible career education choices might be.
The great thing about career education is that once you find a field, you could take classes at a vocational or trade school specifically for that field and earn a certificate for it. These schools even offer additional career education guidance and job placement once a training program was completed. Many students who participated in a career education training program go on to have fulfilling, successful careers.
