Dance Lessons
Dance lessons are a lot of fun, but the repetition and practice required to master the moves can get a little trying, especially for younger students. You can spice up these drills with a few new ideas to make learning exciting again for all of your students, young and old.
Light hearted competition is always a good way to get your students involved in a class. If your dance lessons are focused on teaching a particular move, look for a fun way to turn practicing that step into a competition. For newer students, simply have them execute the move one at a time for the class and reward the winner with some kind of treat, like a snack, or a chance to pick a song for the class to warm up or cool down to. If the students taking your dance lessons are more advanced, you have split the class into groups and have them devise a short dance routine that incorporates the move, and then select the group who completed it the best. Reward them with the chance to lead the class through warm up or cool down, or the chance to teach their routine to the class.
