Education Technology
Education technology has made itself felt starting from kindergarten and going all the way to the twelfth grade. No longer are coloring, reading, writing and arithmetic the only things promoted as valuable for a successful future for our children. Education technology takes a certain idea to solve problems or fulfill different needs and turns the idea into a beneficial reality.
Education technology helps fine tune an inventive, imaginative mind of students.
Student’s learning needs are being met through education technology. Education technology can make learning fun, and if students find something fun they are more likely to fully apply themselves.
State school boards are very interested in finding and applying the most effective way of advancing education technology. History shows that originally education technology, commonly nicknamed tech ed, had its humble beginnings with something known as Industrial Arts, and Manuel Training. Students in education technology learn in an environment labeled shops, but since the students perform laboratory activities, the term shop is popularly now called lab.
Education technology students also learn something called soft skills. They better themselves at written communication, dependability, teamwork, how to best work while under pressure, and leadership skills through education technology. They also improve problem solving, organizational, and research skills through education technology.
Education technology makes it easy to see how these soft skills are so beneficial to hard skills. The benefits of education technology are easily understood since employers appreciate and often hire a person with these excellent qualities.
