Educational Leadership Online
The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development or ASCD was founded in 1943. It is community of educators representing over 150,000 educators from some130 countries and over 50 affiliates. It advocates sound policies and best practices for the success of each learner.
It is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization. Members of ASCD come from across the entire range of educators. From superintendents and supervisors, principals and teachers, and professors of education, all the way to school board members. ASCD offers a broad range of multiple perspectives with regard to policies and practices. Affiliates are located in the United States; Canada; East Asia; and the Caribbean. These are separate organizations working in collaboration towards common goals.
ASCD publications include, the Educational Leadership magazine, which also has the internet version called Educational Leadership Online, which is accessible from their homepage. They also publish various topical books, newsletters and journals.
