Language Arts Lesson Plans
Language Arts Lesson Plans need not be boring or tedious for your students. Increase their language arts skills while helping them expand their imaginations with some fun lesson plans!
If you are teaching younger students who are new to letters and reading, your language arts lesson plans can focus on helping them learn new sounds and memorize letters through play. Give each student in your class a role as a letter, and create a little play about the alphabet. Students can create their own simple costumes that represent their letter. You could consider having an afternoon tea party, with foods representing all the letters present, for example, apples, bananas, carrots, etc. For slightly older students, reading aloud is a great way to practice words. Have a contest to see who can read stories in the most dramatic style, and reward that student with a special certificate.
Through your language arts lesson plans you can expose your students to a world of wonderful writing. Read to them, or have them read, stories by the masters, and then write new endings for the stories, either as a class, in small groups, or individually. This task will help them improve their language skills while encouraging their creativity.
Your language arts lesson plans are limited only by your imagination. Have fun!
