Learn HTML
If you’ve always wondered how all those nifty web pages you run across are made, you might want to learn HTML. In addition, HTML can be a very good skill to have in today’s job market.
HTML stands for hyper text markup language. This is basically a special language that computers use to know what to display on a web page and how to display the information. The content of a website is dictated by the creator of the website and in its most basic form, that content is created by using HTML.
If you already have some experience with computers, it probably will be easier than you think to learn HTML. If you have little or no experience with computers, it is probably a good idea to learn a few computer basics before you decide it is time to learn HTML.
Some people can learn a new skill by teaching themselves. If you can do this, there are plenty of free HTML lessons available. Borrowing books from your local library can be a great way to learn HTML. In addition, there are free lessons online as well.

You will also have a very good, useable skill for anyone who works in an office. Quite often, even secretaries and beginning level job searchers will receive preference when applying for a job.
