Reading Curriculum
Learning to read in school is important step toward an education. Everyone had to learn how to at some point and there are many teachers who successfully teach reading every single day. The teachers who do this often have a reading curriculum to go by in the classroom. Having this curriculum helps the teachers learn the strengths and weaknesses of each student. This way the know what to focus more on and also they won't have to waste time on areas that students already know, but sometimes the teachers will go over previous thing to help refresh the students memory.
Once a student starts to read by themselves, they will start to have a better comprehension about what they are learning. If you find that your students are struggling in this area, you might want to focus on the students reading aloud in the class. This will allow you to ask questions and find out what the students are thinking. Overall learning to read will help the students make better grades and this of course will make going to school more of a pleasant experience. So having a reading curriculum helps the teachers, but it also helps the students too.
